April 5 Outreach
Today was a reminder of God’s providence and grace. Though our day began with uncertainty—needing to adjust our menu plans—God provided through the generosity of Pizziniz, who stepped up to supply delicious pizza. We are so grateful for their support.
As the day unfolded, we witnessed the outpouring of love and generosity from our community. Tents, food, sleeping bags, blankets, hygiene items, and clothing were all given away to those in need. Every act of kindness felt like a tangible extension of God's hands at work.
Our message today came from Luke 15:17, the story of the prodigal son: *“But when he came to his senses.”* It’s a moment of realization that, as believers, each of us has experienced. This powerful verse served as a reminder that we can pray for our friends and loved ones to also come to their senses, finding their way back to God’s loving embrace.
The weather was cold and windy, yet once again, God showed His faithfulness as the rain held off during our time of outreach.
Today, we also met a new couple facing their very first day of homelessness. It was humbling to be able to provide them with everything they needed to set up a camp. As we shared resources, we also shared our prayers, knowing that God’s grace meets us all where we are.
We end this day with hearts full of gratitude and hope, lifting up all those we encountered today in prayer. May God guide and bless them abundantly.
