March 8 Outreach
This week, we were once again reminded of God’s unwavering faithfulness as He provided a window of clear weather for our homeless outreach—a true testament to His divine provision. Despite the challenges of the season, we felt His presence guiding us every step of the way.
Our theme was rooted in the powerful words of Luke 4:13 and Ephesians 6:12, which speak of standing firm in the face of trials and the ongoing spiritual battles we each endure. Together, we reflected on the importance of praying as warriors in these spiritual wars, lifting up our friends and loved ones through prayer. We also offered words of hope, speaking of how God walks with us in moments of loneliness, surrounding us with His love and protection even in our darkest hours.
It was a day filled with fellowship, care, and generosity. We served a warm, hearty meal of pork sandwiches, baked chicken, mac and cheese, red beans and rice, green beans, and homemade desserts—a feast prepared with love to nourish both body and soul. In addition, we were blessed to distribute coats, tents, sleeping bags, shoes, hats, and gloves to those in need, providing comfort and protection as the colder months approach.
Each interaction was a beautiful reminder that we are all connected by God’s love and grace. To those who supported, prayed, or participated in this outreach, we are deeply grateful for your kindness and compassion. Together, we are shining His light in the world and standing strong as a community of faith.
Let us continue to press on in prayer, love, and service, remembering that in all things, *"the Lord is our strength and our shield."* (Psalm 28:7)
